Will you be my Valentine?

February 11th, 2011

Monday is Valentines Day! Are you prepared? Have you booked your table for two at your favourite restaurant? Its an exciting day for all the lovers out there. Personally I can’t see myself getting a valentine, but I will wake up Monday morning with a skip in my step and bounce off to work thinking that I will  get flowers sent to work from a secret admirer, of course I probably won’t, but it would be super cool if I did :) . I think it would be awesome to have a secret admirer, although at the same time it would also freak me out a little.  What would you like your secret admirer to send to you? Not long stemmed red roses, a bit too full on for me. Probably not roses of any kind actually, something colourful I think, with orange in it, maybe orange tulips, I love tulips the best, or orange poppies, yep I also like poppies. Nothing too expensive, just as long as they look nice.

Have a good Valentines Day. If you don’t have someone to give you a present keep your eye out for your secret admirer :)

So get your diarys out and ready and mark of a day to have a look.  the 26th and 27th of March at Shed 4 Victoria Harbour.

This will be the 2nd market that they have held in Melbourne, and let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC last time. Best market I have been to in a very very long time.

One day I might even have a stall of my own there.

Bloggers Block

February 9th, 2011

I’ve been a bit quiet lately because I’ve got bloggers block. Actuallymaybe bloggers block isn’t exactly the right word, because I”ve got heaps of cool things that I want to blog about but nothing that has me inspired enough to actually blog about it. I’ve put that down to the busyness of my life after the floods that have affected my family in Victoria, I blogged about them here.

The clean up from the floods however did give me some amusement, check out the photo bellow of the damage to the roads. The water had just washed the road across a little bit, it made me laugh and i kind of wish it could have stayed that way.

Anyway things are slowly starting to settle down now after all of this, so I’m hoping to become more inspired again, break my block and get back onto my regular posting.

The events of last night….

February 3rd, 2011

I took a stroll around the Suzuki Night Market at the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne.

They are on every Wednesday in summer from 5 pm till 10:30pm. Lots of good food, music and best of all market stalls! So you can sit back relax and listen to tunes and eat your heart out, or have a browse around the market stalls. It gets pretty crowded so I recommend getting there as early as possible, but definitely  worth a look.

What blogs do you follow?

February 2nd, 2011

Probably my all time favorite blog is The Design Files.

I love it the most because it is a Melbourne based blog, so it is always telling me great places to go shopping, showing excellent Melbourne houses and things that are awesome in Australia. I also have been lucky enough to see the blogger Lucy speak last year and she was just lovely, so she won my heart.

Yesterday Lucy blogged about these absolutely excellent ‘sombrilla’ sunshades from Hollie & Harrie. I just love them!

Make sure you check out both The Design Files and Hollie & Harrie!
