Nanna Culture is a blog and a website created by me – Rachael Canfield. I’m sure I was born with the creative bone in my body, I can’t think back to a time where I wasn’t thinking of projects. I grew up on a farm in Central Victoria Australia, and some of my first memories of creating are with my grandmother in her farm kitchen making Jams and Anzac Biscuits, as well as my mother teaching me leather work, sewing and so many other things. I’m now in Melbourne but my creative heart is still deeply intrenched in the past and in the country with those fantastic people and memories I had growing up as a child.

I can’t look at the world around me without finding people and things that inspire me and my need to decorate and create. I have created Nanna Culture to share the inspiration I come across, and well as sharing the things that the inspiration has forced me to create. You’ll soon see my main interest areas are craft projects, home furnishings, interior decorating and cooking. Nanna Culture is dedicated to those who inspire me as well as those that love inspiration, in a hope that this fantastic circle of creation can continue.

I hope you enjoy Nanna Culture as much as I enjoy bringing it to you.
